Fun and Live Music All Summer Long (UPDATED!)
Welcome to the last week in May! It’s getting much warmer, we’re all able to spend more time outside, and you know what that means, right? That’s right – outdoor music, porchfests, and a great chance to all get together!
Tales Told Out of School is doing well since its release earlier this month, and I’m going to use the next few months as a chance to get out and play these songs (and a whole bunch of others – both mine and from favorite artists) for you. The schedule will be changing, and I’ll update this post as we go (so please remember to check back). But as of now:
- June 1, 4-6 pm – Newton Porchfest: Look for me at 119 Windermere Road in Auburndale. Porchfest is a great community party, so while I hope you’ll come out to see me, please also wander and check out a few other acts as well. It’s a great time!
- June 15, 3:30-5 pm – Arlington Porchfest: Also set for this one! Please join me at 3:30pm at 28 Pondview Road in Arlington on June 15 (or 16th if it rains). It’ll be my first time for this fest (though I have played the ACA in the past). Looking forward to it very much!
- June 29, 12-1:30 pm – ISSA Winchendon Event: I’ll be joining Linda Marks, Joanna Katzen, and Tom Maynard onstage at Winchendon Community Park (86 Ingleside Road) for the next in our International Singer-Songwriter’s Association series.
- June 29, 6-7:30 pm – Quincy Porchfest: Right after Winchendon I’ll hop in the car, grab lunch and then get my gear ready to head to 107 Assabet Road in Quincy for Quincy Porchfest. I’ll post the link as soon as I have it, but I’m told there will also be food trucks in the vicinity!
- July 23 – Taping for Studio B Sessions, Arlington Community Media: I have a huge announcement that I want to share with you! Next week I will be taping a full set for the Arlington Community Media program Studio B Sessions. This half-hour program showcases local performers, their stories, and their songs. The taping will take place on Tuesday, July 23, and I will get you the link as soon as it goes live.
- July 27, 3-5 pm – ISSA Albion Cultural Exchange Event (Wakefield): I’m very happy to announce that the Albion Cultural Exchange at 9 Albion St in Wakefield MA is expanding their offerings and has asked me and the rest of the ISSA crew to start to put on shows at their historic facility. The building is a former bank and utility office and has been exhibiting visual arts for some time. Join us for a new experience in this wonderful space.
- September 8 (TBD) – Belmont Porchfest: I’ve registered to play at Belmont Porchfest as we get towards the end of the summer. This was a great event last year as we dodged the rain, and I’m looking forward to being part of it once again!
- September 15, 8-10 pm – Open Mic America: I am absolutely overjoyed to announce that I will be returning once again to Open Mic America on Sunday, September 15. This will be my fourth time on the show, and I look forward to sharing some new songs.
- September 22, 3-5 pm – ISSA Hotel Vernon (Worcester): I’ll be joining a few friends of mine for an ISSA performers-in-the-round at the historic Hotel Vernon in Worcester, MA. More details soon!
I’ll be bringing CD copies of all of my albums with me for sale (at a very nominal price), so don’t forget to pick up a special memento of the event!
Thank you so much for your support. Please come on out, bring your friends, and let’s have a great summer!
– Chris
