(Hopefully Not Very) Long Road to Recovery

Hi, everyone! I’m really happy to report that “I Am Not Well” is in fact doing well on Spotify, and bringing more visitors to the website as well. I am hopeful this means my song is getting to more of the people who are going to enjoy it or who need to hear it.

I’m also in between doctor appointments, and hoping that my next visit will confirm that my hand is in fact healing the way it seems to be. After a long hiatus (last set was March 31), I’m going to do my first post-injury attempt at a set tonight. I plan to do a half hour set at Eagles Nest Revisited, and I am looking forward to seeing all the regulars there!

I’ve also been able to resume recording, and that’s why I wanted to share this post today. A while back, I wrote a song called “Long Road.” Much of its recording took place a couple of months ago, but when I hurt my hand I had to put a pin in the work. As I’ve been recovering, I’ve done some additional work on vocals and some rudimentary mixing, and when the splint came off this week, I was able to revisit some of the guitar fills.

I think most of you know that I’ve started a Patreon where people can help support the work I am doing here. I’ve promised to share some special items with my patrons as we go forward, and I think I’ve just found the first opportunity. Within the next day or so, I’m going to share the demo version of “Long Road” on my Patreon page, months in advance of when it will be available to the general public!

It’s just a little way for me to say thank you to the people who have been supporting me through all of this.
