Bumping Along
I don’t have much to post right now.
I’ve got this great batch of new songs—ones I genuinely love. There’s an album’s worth of fresh tunes ready to record, and plenty of other fun things percolating. I’ve been playing for more people again and making some exciting plans for the summer.
And yet… somehow, it all feels a little hollow. A little insignificant.
I know this work—these songs, these shows—can and will bring joy, comfort, maybe even a laugh or two. To me, and hopefully to you. But at the moment, I’m feeling a bit stuck in the middle of it all.
You’ve probably seen me share Chuck Wendig’s writing before—he posted something today that really nails what it means to be a creative person right now. The push and pull, the hope and hesitation.
So this is where I’m at. We keep our heads high. We do the Good Things. We make Good Trouble. We carry on.
Elbows up.
